Everyone appreciates handmade New Year festoon decorations. This festoon is made of one geometric shape a pyramid. It is very easy for both an adult and a child to make. Colored triangles vary in size. You can choose the colors at your discretion.
Materials
To make these nice six New Year festoons decorations you will need :
- Polyester felt four colors ( about 30 cm x 20-15 cm for one color )
- Linen string
- Colors sewing thread No. 120
Cutting out pattern pieces
Here are all the pattern pieces and their dimensions. We need six green triangle pieces, six yellow triangle pieces, six red triangle pieces, and six blue triangle pieces. You can choose the haw many triangles and which colors you want to have.
Steps for sewing the New Year festoon
Step 1. Cut out six triangles in each color.
Step 2. Stack the parts on top of each other, in order from largest to smallest. Sew one after another in turn.
Step 3. At the end, cut out a small circle and sew it on top. Cut a small hole in the circle so that you can string the decoration on the strings.
You can hang Christmas tree toys or candy between the string decorations. This garland can be hung above a window, on a Christmas tree, or directly on a wall.
