Sewing the vest for children

When you have all the pattern pieces cut out and ready, follow the steps below to sew them together.

Step 1. Cut out the vest pattern pieces from colored fabric and dark blue, following the dimensions provided above. Put the pieces together and connect the shoulders and sides of the bra as shown in the white dotted line in the picture below.

Step 2. Cut two circles from the colorful fabric (cutout no. 3) and strips 3 cm wide for the edging, which must be cut into strips across the fabric, as shown in the first photo. Sew a decorative ribbon on one side of the circle, as you can see in the second photo. Then, edge the remaining edge with a strip that you cut from colorful fabric, as you can see in the third photo.

Step 3. Both pockets are sewn onto dark blue fabric, slightly turned to the side. Then place the colored fabric inside the dark blue fabric and join the edges at the bottom, sides, both sleeves, and collar, as you can see in the second photo. We join the fabrics together to make it easier to edge with strips the edges.

Step 4. We start edging the strip from the bottom of the vest, as you can see in the first photo. Then we hem the front edges and then both sleeves.

Step 5. The last step is to edge the collar. Here we will add a longer strip on each side so that we have a drawstring to tie at the front of the vest. You can leave the ends of the string any length you like, just to make it easier to tie a ribbon.
