Steps for sewing the denim backpack
When all the pattern pieces are cut out and ready, follow the steps below to sew them together.
Step 1. Sew small details like two straps with buckle (no. 2, 5), shoulder belts(no. 7), strips for a buckle, front pocket (no. 3), and backpack closing flap (no.4)
Step 2. Between the pockets sew on the strap (no. 5). On the backpack’s main detail (no. 1), sew a pocket in the middle.
Step 3. Sew pieces of closure flap with lining together and turn them out, then sew two seams along the edge. Sew strap (no. 5) on the closure flap (no. 4) in the middle.
Step 4. Connect the main detail backpack sides and form the bottom from the main parts of the backpack. Secure with one stitch from the outside.
Step 5. Sew the handle (no. 6) on the flap (no. 4). Sew the flap to the main backpack detail so that the seam would be in the middle of the flap.
Step 6. Connect the upper lining tape with the main part of the backpack. Sew two seams from the good side. The distance between the seams must be at least 2 cm. The eye-rings must fit in the gap.
Step 7. Finally, sew on the bottom of the lining. Place all eight metal hole eye-rings evenly spaced. Insert the black string into the holes and put a locking regulator on the end of the string.
Here are some photos of how to decorate a backpack. Small accents give the backpack its characteristic style.
You can see the imitation of ripped jeans and patches sewn on. There are also various embroidery that can be created with a sewing machine. Sewn-on bright stripes are visible from afar and liven up the look of the backpack.
Good luck with your sewing and enjoy the product!
