The instructions below provide the measurements for cutting out pattern pieces and the main steps for sewing the hat application on jeans.
Cutting out pattern pieces
Here are all the pattern pieces and their dimensions. All dimensions are shown with sewing allowances. If not indicated otherwise, use a 0.5 cm seam allowance for all seams.
You will cut out three different shapes, in total: a hat with a colorful stripe on the hat and the contours of the face.

Steps for sewing the hat application on jeans
When all the pattern pieces are cut out and ready, follow the steps below to sew them together.
Step 1. Cut out the hat and face from the specified fabrics and sew them onto the lining fabric. Don’t forget to leave a gap unsewn so you can turn it over to the other side and marked with a yellow line.
Before turning it over, cut the edges of the details finely as shown in red lines.

Step 2. Turn the pieces over and iron the edges. Fold the edges of the colorful ribbon 0.5 cm on both sides and iron them to make it easier to sew onto the hat.
Make masks from small pieces of red fabric and sew them onto the face. The dimensions of the lips are indicated in the picture below. Embroider the eyes and nose on the face with black thread using a decorative zigzag stitch.

Step 3. Also, use black thread to embroider the outline of the hat with a decorative zigzag stitch, as you can see in the picture below, and sew on a strip of colorful fabric.
Your last step is to place the appliqués on the denim fabric and sew the edges on the face with light brown thread and the hat with blue thread. The hat’s brim should fit over the edge of the face, so sew the face on first and then the hat.

The job is done. You can sew this application onto any fabric. Good luck trying to sew it yourself.
