This is a great and convenient wall-hanging heart case with two pockets for storing various items. It can be hung in a child’s room, kitchen, bathroom, or living room and will decorate any room.
It’s easy for beginners to sew.

Materials
To make this nice hangnig heart case, you will need:
- Red cotton fabric 30 cm x 30 cm
- Variegated cotton fabric 37 cm x 20 cm
- Lining fabric 75 cm x 60 cm
- Hord polyester wadding 75 cm x 58 cm
- 2 flower and leaf appliques
- Gray Bias tape about 1,5 m
- Two colors of sewing thread no. 120

The instructions below provide the measurements for cutting out the pattern pieces and the main steps for sewing the hanging heart case.
Cutting out pattern pieces
Here are all the pattern pieces and their dimensions. All dimensions are shown with sewing allowances. If not indicated otherwise, use a 0,5-1 cm seam allowance for all seams.
In total, you will cut out two different shapes.

Steps for sewing the hanging heart case
Step 1. Cut out one piece from each fabric according to the dimensions of the drawing shown above. Place them on top of each other so that the wadding polyester is in the middle between the other fabrics, and sew them together at the edges as shown by the dotted black line.

Step 2. Hem the top edge of the colorful fabric with gray bias tape and sew on the appliqués as shown in the photo. Make a thin strip of red cotton fabric and sew it to the heart on the other side, as shown in the photo.

Step 3. Place the colorful fabric on the heart and sew it in the middle, as you can see in the photo. Then, precisely place the hearts and the sides of the colorful fabric and connect them by sewing, as shown in the photo with the black dotted line.

Step 4. Now, our last step is to edge the entire heart with the gray Bias edge banding.

It’s not difficult to make, and I wish everyone good luck.
