Cutting out pattern pieces
Here, you can find all the pattern pieces and their dimensions. All dimensions are shown with sewing allowances. Since we will be sewing from the outside, it is enough to leave a 0.5 cm seam allowance.
You can change the size of the Christmas tree by adding or subtracting 0.5 cm to the dimensions.
The photo below shows pieces of the pattern.
Steps for sewing the Christmas tree
Step 1. Draw the outline of the Christmas tree on the felt. Cut out two identical Christmas trees and cut out the bottom of the Christmas tree according to the given size.
Step 2. Cut out circles and rectangles from colored felt strips. The circle’s diameter can be about 1.5 cm, and the rectangles are about the same size. In total, you will need 14 circles and 6 rectangles.
Step 3. Put both parts of the Christmas tree together and sew both edges so the thread is 2 mm from the edge. Don’t forget to attach a linen string at the top for hanging when connecting the Christmas tree parts. Then connect the bottom with the Christmas tree at the bottom, leaving a 4 cm gap unsewn. Fill the inside of the Christmas tree with cotton wool through this gap and sew the bottom all the way through.
And here is the Christmas tree standing on your Christmas table.
Merry Christmas and a Happy Year.
